I’m completely booked up for the rest of the academic year with a waiting list for any cancellations. This means that I won’t be taking on any new students until September 2016. Obviously this is great for me but I’m sorry for all those I’m having to turn away. I sincerely hope they find a suitable alternative tutor.
The only possible exceptions might be for daytime tuition during the Easter/half-term/summer holidays.

First lessons after the summer break tomorrow. Time to crank the brain back into gear.
Thank goodness some schools seem to be changing their set books; there’s only so much ‘Of Mice and Men’ I can take. Looking forward to doing ‘War of the Worlds’ and Ishiguro’s ‘Never let me go’.
Getting lots of enquiries and having to turn most of them away. Only daytime or very early after school slots now available.

Please be aware that many of last year’s pupils are continuing tuition this year.
I shall only have 1 or 2 slots available and already have a waiting list. Several people have contacted me earlier in the summer and I urge them to try to find another tutor as I regret that I am unlikely to be able to help them.
My apologies to all of you that I can’t help but there are only so many hours a day for tuition!

One of the reasons that I’ve been so busy recently is that we have made the decision to rewrite volume one of the jointly written novel. At present it is only published on Kindle and we are hoping to have it published as a hard copy. This has involved quite a lot of rewriting and adding new episodes. Some characters have been deepened and some have disappeared entirely. We think the result is much more exciting and satisfying as a story.
Meanwhile Mick has done a first draft of volume 4 and I am about to start my input. Reading his first shortish draft is always an exciting time as ideas for new episodes flash into my mind and are rejected or developed.
